A. CLASS WORK:
1. Support of teaching and administrative staff at all times and in areas as requested:
• To take care of routine classroom jobs (sharpening pencils for young children, checking home/school diaries, making resources, etc.).
• To prepare materials and resources requested by the teacher.
• To help the children set up for and clear up after lessons.
• To encourage the children to keep the classroom tidy.
• To put up displays of children’s work.
• To create and set up provision activities for the students that follow their interests.
• To escort sick children to the school nurse.
• To support students to follow all school routines including, toileting, sleep time, snack times, lunchtime and home times.
• To supervise children moving around the school to work areas outside the classroom (specialist lessons - PE, swimming, music, EAL, VS, LS, library, clubs, lunch area).
• To assist the teacher with the supervision of children on trips.
• To control the class in the absence of the teacher.
• To work with individual or small group of children with guidance from the teacher.
