As a Structural Engineer, you will be working in a collaborative environment of structural design engineers, tool design engineers, and manufacturing experts. Your innovation in product design will be driven by the needs of the customer, changes in building materials and methods, and building code changes. You will recommend alterations and enhancements to improve the quality, performance and cost of products. You will provide technical support and information to branch engineers, designers, customers, and other business units. The Structural Engineer team includes civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and wood and material specialists. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Develop products for the building industry
You will participate in developing new structural products for the concrete, light-frame wood, cold-formed steel, and mass timber markets. You will develop experimental test plans, collect, organize, and analyze data, and perform calculations. You will collaborate with US Engineers to manage projects assigned; coordinate with other resources within Engineering Services VN to accomplish assigned projects. Review all projects for completeness to assure work performed meets request prior to delivery. Communicate with project stakeholders; document and report the project status periodically to stakeholders.
